Dr. Aneela Mahmud completed her internal medicine residency training at Southern Illinois University in Springfield Illinois in 2007. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
She completed additional fellowship training in Infectious diseases at University of Missouri in Kansas City and obtained board certification in Infectious Diseases in 2010.
Dr. Mahmud moved to Maryland in 2010 and completed a post-doc at Johns Hopkins University. After her post-doc she joined a medical practice in Maryland affiliated with George Washington University.
She recently moved to Arizona, initially practicing in underserved areas on the Native American Reservation through the Indian Health Service.
She is excited to settle in the Sedona area and join Choices.
In addition to a strong background in the conventional medicine approach, she has developed interests in preventative/functional medicine, Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, Energy medicine, and has had additional trainings in these areas.
